Takeo, japanischer Schriftsteller, * Tokio 4. 3. 1878, ✝ (Selbstmord) Karuizawa (Präfektur Nagano) 9. 6. 1923. Seine Schriften sind geprägt von christlichem Humanismus und L'art-pour-l'art-Denken, aber auch vom Leiden an den Widersprüchen der Moderne. In seinem Roman »Aru onna« (1919, englisch »A certain woman«), dessen 1. Teil die überarbeitete Fassung von »Aru onna no Gurimpusu« (1911-13) bildet, schildert er das tragische Schicksal einer außerhalb gesellschaftlicher Konventionen lebenden Frau.
